Sound Off: Who Wants Another Government Shutdown?

Remember how Congress recently solved a government shutdown? If it seems that was only a couple of weeks ago, that's because it was only two weeks ago. And maybe "solved" is too strong a word because they only kicked the can down the road to February 8th, which is Thursday.

That's right, America. Time to panic about another government shutdown. Things are looking bleak (again) up in Washington.

At least one of our leaders thinks a shutdown could be a good thing. At a White House meeting on Tuesday, President Trump saw the bright side. If Democrats don't agree to changes in immigration policy that many believe allows MS-13 and other gang members into slip into the USA, the president is all for another shutdown.

“If we don’t change it, let’s have a shutdown,” Trump said. "It’s worth it for our country.” 

We all know that government shutdowns are a military morale killer. To be honest, constant threats of government shutdowns cause as much stress as the real thing.
