The New Teacher Hotline, sponsored by ABCTE, has had hundreds of visitors. Hosts Dr. Glen Moulton and Mike Kelley have already recorded eight episodes and answered hundreds of questions for new teachers.
To date, the episodes have covered: classroom management; making first impressions with parents, the role of administrators; handling students that encourage bad behavior; finding a teaching position; talking to parents about the good, the bad and the ugly ; getting to know your students before the school year begins; and preparing for substitutes.
