Xbox Game Pass is losing three Ninja Gaiden games later today, September 30. Their departures will bring the total number of September 30 Xbox Game Pass removals to six.
Throughout the first nine months of 2025, Microsoft stuck to its usual pattern of only removing titles from its subscription service once every two weeks. It most recently did so on September 15, when Xbox Game Pass lost All You Need is Help, Wargroove 2, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie. Another trio is now set to follow suit.
The September 30 Xbox Game Pass departures comprise Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. All three of these merciless action games are part of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, originally released for PC and consoles in June 2021. The tri-pack has been part of the Xbox Game Pass library since June 2022. With a stint of three years and just as many months, the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection has stayed on Microsoft's service longer than most third-party releases.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving September 30, 2025

The September 30 departures were initially also planned to include Terra Invicta, a PC-only 4X strategy that's presently in early access. However, Microsoft later retracted this announcement, shortening the list of Xbox Game Pass removals in an exceedingly rare move. It remains unclear whether the earlier notice was an error or if a last-minute licensing arrangement extended the game’s availability. In the former scenario, Terra Invicta may still leave Xbox Game Pass in the near future.
Ninja Gaiden Franchise Returning To Xbox Game Pass in October 2025
While the popular subscription service is losing three Ninja Gaiden games in the coming hours, it will soon gain another one. Ninja Gaiden 4 will reach Xbox Game Pass on October 21 as a day-one title, available to PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate members. Its timing places it firmly in the Wave 2 lineup territory for October. Ninja Gaiden 4 will be followed by Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault and Bounty Star, another pair of day-one releases scheduled to hit Xbox Game Pass on October 23.
The next wave of departures from the service is expected to take place on October 16. It will likely be announced a bit over a week in advance, on or around October 7, based on Microsoft's recent communication patterns. That's also the date when Little Rocket Lab and Sopa - Tale of the Stolen Potato are coming to Xbox Game Pass.
