PS Plus Extra and Premium game leak January 2026

By Tyler Shipley

Ahead of an official announcement, the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for January 2026 have leaked online. PS Plus includes three tiers for subscribers to choose from, and the Extra and Premium options are going to be getting some new additions soon, with Resident Evil fans potentially in for a treat.

Each month, PlayStation adds new games to its PS Plus library. January 2026 has already seen several free games added to PS Plus Essential, the cheapest tier of the subscription service. Specifically, Core Keeper, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Need for Speed Unbound arrived on January 6. These titles can be claimed for free by anybody on PS Plus, regardless of their subscription tier.

Following the release of the free PS Plus games for January, gamers have been wondering what titles could be coming to Extra and Premium. While an official announcement has yet to be made, a report from Dealabs insider Billbil-kun has revealed what games are likely to come to the service on January 20. According to Billbil-kun, Resident Evil Village, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, The Exit 8, and Art of Rally are being added to the Extra tier. It is worth noting that all of these games are accessible on both PS5 and PS4, except for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. Players must be on PS5 to play this survival game based on the popular movie franchise.

Beyond the Extra tier additions, Billbil-kun noted that Ridge Racer would be making its debut on the Premium tier. The leak pointed out that this is the PS1 version of the game, so the additional features from the Arcade Archives 2 version will not be available. When Ridge Racer comes to PS Plus, it will join Ridge Racer 2 and Ridge Racer Type 4, which are already available as part of the Classics Catalog.

While the new games for PS Plus Extra and Premium have not yet been officially announced, Billbil-kun has historically been accurate in leaking information about new additions to the service. Fortunately, gamers should not have to wait long for official confirmation, as a reveal by the company is expected to come on Wednesday, January 14. It remains to be seen if other games for these tiers could be unveiled then. For context, eight games came to PS Plus Extra on December 16, with one added to Premium.
