Military Members Can Get Free ‘Call of Duty’ Bonus Content This Month

USAA and the Call of Duty Endowment have teamed up to offer free DLC bonus content for gamers who are active duty and veteran military members.

It’s part of the Call of Duty League’s military appreciation week that starts on May 10 and will celebrate community members who have served in the military. The week will climax with the Call of Duty League Major III event, broadcast May 13-16 on YouTube Gaming.

What do you get for free? It’s the C.O.D.E. Battle Doc DLC for “Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War” and “Warzone.” The pack features an Operator skin, weapon blueprint, calling card, weapon charm and emblem, and it normally sells for $9.99.

How do you get it? Go to this page on the Call of Duty League website. Then choose your gaming platform: PlayStation, Xbox or Battle.net. You’ll be taken to a GovX page where you can prove your military bona fides and get access to your free content.

The content is available now through May 31 while supplies last.

The Call of Duty Endowment is game publisher Activision Blizzard’s charity that supports veterans seeking employment after they leave the service. The group helps veterans market their skills to the civilian employment community and educates employers as to the value that hiring veterans can bring to their organizations. The endowment has helped more than 81,000 veterans find employment since 2009 and is on track to meet a goal of 100,000 job placements by 2024.

Activision Blizzard launched the Call of Duty League esports league in 2020 to highlight the best players from around the world. The league currently has 12 teams from four countries.

USAA, the financial services company for military members and their families, will sponsor the Major III tournament and will join the Call of Duty League Gives Back program, which will provide unique game experiences for the military community.
