BALTIMORE — A Coast Guardsman was convicted Feb. 27 and sentenced Feb. 28 during a general court-martial at Joint Base Anacostia–Bolling in Washington, D.C.
Petty Officer 1st Class Brian J. Green, 38, was sentenced to reduction to pay grade E-3, confinement for four months and a bad conduct discharge.
Charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Green was convicted of six specifications of Article 93 (cruelty and maltreatment), one specification of Article 120 (wrongful sexual contact), one specification of Article 120 (indecent exposure) and five specifications of Article 134 (general article) for engaging in sexual misconduct involving two junior Coast Guard women.
The crimes occurred between January 2012 and August 2012 while all three members were assigned to a shore-based Coast Guard unit in Washington, D.C. The Coast Guard is not releasing the name of the unit to protect the privacy of the victims.
Rear Adm. Steven H. Ratti, commander of the Fifth Coast Guard District, was the convening authority.
Green was administratively assigned to Coast Guard Sector Baltimore while he awaited court-martial.
