Syrian Army Captures IDF Vehicle

May 20th, 2013 - This al-Mayadeen TV exclusive footage shows a Jeep armored vehicle (armored version of AIL M240 Storm used by the IDF) that was used by the "Free Syrian Army" (FSA) in the Qusayr city that is currently being liberated by the Syrian Army. Writings in Hebrew can be seen on the vehicle, as shown in the footage. Syrian military officials were quick to accuse Israel of aiding the rebels by displaying an IDF jeep used by rebels that was captured in a gunfight. The IDF clarified Monday that the jeep was decommissioned a decade ago, and was never transferred to the rebels. Sunday, the IDF spokesman announced the IDF was not taking sides, and was strictly involved in monitoring various security situation scenarios based on developments in Syria. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/Flash.aspx/268625
