Failed Assassination of Afghan President

    Hamid Karzai, the 12th and current President of Afghanistan, has been subject to several failed assassination attempts since becoming leader of Afghanistan on 20 December 2001. This is allegedly from 2008 in Kabul but can not be verfified (comment if you have info): On 27 April 2008, insurgents, reportedly from the Haqqani network, used automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades to attack a military parade that Karzai was attending in Kabul.
