    Spc. Claudio Rene, a military police Soldier with the 984th Military Police Company, out of Fort Carson, Colo., is currently serving as a member of the protective service detail for U.S. Army Central. Rene has been fighting in a variety of martial arts disciplines since the age of 14, and is now participating in Modern Army Combatives Program level two certification at Camp Arifjan. He takes us through what got him interested in fighting, his techniques, and why he feels that being a skilled hand-to-hand fighter is so important for Soldiers.
