Audie Murphy Award Ceremony Invite

Governor Rick Perry will formally present the Texas Legislative Medal of Honor posthumously to Major Audie L. Murphy in a public ceremony in Farmersville, Texas on the Town Square. Major Audie L. Murphy, was America's "most decorated" combat soldier of WWII. The award is the supreme military honor in the Texas Military Forces and will be accepted by the sole surviving sibling of Major Murphy, Mrs.Nadine Murphy-Lockey.
