You Were Supposed to Come Tomorrow

There was a surprise reunion Tuesday between a soldier returning home from Afghanistan and his daughters at Greenbrier High School. Eric Helling surprised his daughters Lauren and Rachel. He had told them he would be home Wednesday, after a tour in Afghanistan. Instead, he was home Tuesday and made their school day a bit brighter. Of course, he was welcomed with big hugs and happy tears when he walked in each of the girls' classrooms. "So, I told everybody that I probably wouldn't be here tomorrow and I'd probably be taken out. He surprised me and I started crying and my whole math class saw. I'm just happy you're home," Rachel said. We, of course, would like to thank Helling for his time served, as well as all the other men and women giving their all for this country.
