Soldier Surprises Little Sister Getting Off Bus

Share

A South Jersey girl got the surprise of her young life Monday afternoon when she stepped off her school bus. 7-year-old Juliana jumped into her brother's arms after seeing him for the first time in nearly a year. Specialist Nicholas Candelaria is part of the New Jersey Army National Guard and has been serving with the 114th Infantry Combat Unit in Qatar. Mom, Karla Marie Luciano, says the siblings are extremely close and Juliana would ask every day when Nathan was coming home. But she kept his return date to Vineland, New Jersey a secret so the surprise would really pay off. Once the initial shock wore off, Juliana wasted no time telling her big brother that she missed him - but also that he was really sweaty.
