Two commands responsible for training soldiers will assess whether changes are needed in the wake of a vehicle accident.

Pfc. Christian Bautista was pronounced dead at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, officials announced Monday.

The six soldiers were riding on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle when the accident occurred.

The injured Marines were members of the New York-based Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marines, according to sources.

The incident is under investigation.

Master Sgt. Jeffrey Briar is at least the second Marine to drown while off duty this year.
