Sometimes you just need someone to cut through the noise and help you think about things clearly. That can be especially true in military life, when friends and family might not understand the nuances of deployment, the strain on relationships and installation living.

Enter “Off the Clock with Dr. Emma,” Spouse by Military.com’s brand-new advice column, launching in April.

Dr. Emma Smith is a licensed psychotherapist currently serving individuals and couples in four states and Washington, D.C. Her advice has appeared in many publications, including Mashable, Bustle and Women’s Health, and she’s spent more than a decade as a therapist. With years of experience in the military community and as a current military significant other, Dr. Emma is particularly attuned to the needs of military spouses and families.

Every month, Dr. Emma will answer questions from the Military.com community with her signature blend of honesty and thoughtfulness. And she wants to answer yours!

Got a conundrum for Dr. Emma? From romantic frustrations to family bonding, current events anxieties to homecoming excitement, she wants to hear from you. Submit your question, and we may choose it for anonymous publication along with Dr. Emma’s response.

Your personal information will not be shared, and your responses will only be used for editorial purposes.
