Spring is in the air, but a malfunctioning sunroof can put a damper on an otherwise beautiful day. Over time, exposure to the elements and mechanical wear and tear can cause your sunroof to leak or get hung up. But a little periodic maintenance can help keep it in good working order.
Lauren Fix and Steve Ford, auto experts from the DIY Network, recommend cleaning the metal rails of the sunroof with isopropyl alcohol to remove built-up sediment and corrosion. It's also important to keep the rails lubricated with auto grease. Finally, ensure the rubber seal around the sunroof isn't brittle or cracked, and have it replaced if necessary.
