Midland Arms is now offering a new line of single-shot, folding shotguns designed to fit in a backpack for camping, hunting and survival situations.
"The Midland Backpack line of single-shot firearms has been designed and built for young, active shooters who want a gun they can target shoot, plink, hunt, camp and hike with," according to a recent press release from company.
Unlike similar firearms made from inferior materials and cheap finishes, all Midland Backpacks are made from forged steel receivers and deep-hole drilled barrels, the release states.
The Backpack line is available in .410, 20 and 12 gauge models with 18.5, 24 and 26-inch barrel lengths. Midland is planning to expand the line to offer rimfire rifle barrels this spring and centerfire rifle barrels in the fall, the release states.
The simple design breaks open at the breech and folds in half for easy carry.
The Backpack features a removable buttpad to store a survival kit or extra ammo. The rugged, weatherproof synthetic stock features an ambidextrous cheek piece for right- or left-hand shooters, according to the release.
