The Community College of the Air Force is the only college system dedicated to serving the needs of enlisted members. Their programs are designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and theoretical background for enhanced performance as technicians and noncommissioned officers.

As an institution of higher learning, the Community College of the Air Force has a stake in the performance of every enlisted airmen in the Air Force. CCAF strongly believes in providing students a quality education and giving them the necessary tools to enter the workforce or to continue on towards other educational pursuits.

CCAF's mission is to "offer and award job-related associate in applied science degrees and other academic credentials that enhance mission readiness, contribute to recruiting, assist in retention and support the career transitions of Air Force enlisted members."

CCAF awards the associate in applied science degree when a student successfully completes a degree program designed for their Air Force specialty.

The Community College of the Air Force is fully accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (CCSACS). This means that the associate degrees granted by CCAF are officially recognized by the Dept. of Education.
