Veteran defense journalists bring additional talent to Military.com coverage
McLean, Va — Veteran defense reporters Brendan McGarry and Kris Osborn joined the Military.com news team in March, adding to an editorial staff known for its quality reporting and comprehensive analysis of military issues such as defense acquisition and defense technology.
McGarry will specialize in breaking news and computer-assisted reporting, building on his previous work at Bloomberg News where he covered war-zone contracting, military space launch and other issues. His work has been published in The Washington Post and Bloomberg Businessweek, among other publications, and he has served as a defense expert for numerous television and radio networks.
Osborn joins the Military.com team after serving at the Pentagon as a Highly Qualified Expert/Information Liaison for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology. Prior to joining the Army and serving as a civilian, Osborn worked as the land warfare reporter at Defense News, a freelance reporter for the Washington Times and as an anchor, reporter, and military specialist with CNN/CNN Headline News.
