Veteran Military Reporter Assumes Role as Managing Editor
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Business Wire): Military.com, the nation's largest online military destination, and subsidiary of Monster Worldwide, Inc., today announced veteran military journalist Christian Lowe has joined as the managing editor for news and editorial. Along with the managing editor role, Lowe will also assume the duties as editor of DefenseTech.org, a popular blog owned by Military.com.

"I am looking forward to reaching this wide audience and leveraging my experience as a defense reporter - from the halls of the Pentagon to the sands of Iraq - to broaden the impact of Military.com and DefenseTech.org."
Lowe comes to Military.com from Politico.com, where he was a senior staff writer covering defense and national security issues. Before that he spent five years as a senior writer for Military Times newspapers. Along with covering the Pentagon and Hill, he has embedded with Army and Marine Corps units in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Lowe won the Associated Press Managing Editor's Association Award for investigative journalism in 2005 for a story that exposed that body armor vests issued to troops in Iraq had not passed the proper quality assurance tests. He was also part of an Emmy-nominated documentary team that followed a group of Marine officers from training to the battlefields of Iraq.
Lowe will be based in Washington, D.C.
