The concept of ‘military discounts’ has waned from its height in the post-WWII era, but recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan have inspired renewed appreciation for the service and sacrifice of today’s military community. One such patriotic company, Advance Auto Parts, offers a 10% discount on online purchases and promotes free car check-up services, which can be especially helpful to military family members who ‘hold down the fort’ at home while a Servicemember is deployed.
