The spouse of the Pentagon's top officer is asking military spouses and family members to share on social media what they're doing to support community response to the global coronavirus pandemic.
The post, published Tuesday via the Facebook page "From the Home of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff," shows Hollyanne Milley, who works as a registered nurse, standing in scrubs and gloves and holding a sign that reads, "I am a #MilSpouse #Nurse and this is how I'm supporting my community's response to COVID-19."
Milley is the wife of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley.
"Military families, many of us are doing things a little differently at home or at work these days such as home schooling children, teleworking or just adapting to new daily routines," the caption states. "We want to see how you're helping out your military-connected family or community while following CDC guidelines. Show us how you're supporting COVID-19 response efforts and helping #StopTheSpread. Share of a photo of your COVID-19 response efforts while holding one of the attached signs."
Other photos with the post include several unidentified military spouses and three teenagers, identified only as military kids.
The post also includes several examples of signs that can be copied and used for the photos.
